Which finger owns which key
- Learn the finger map that the rest of the curriculum assumes.
Each finger owns a diagonal column of keys. Your left little finger owns Q, A and Z. Your left ring finger owns W, S and X. Your left middle owns E, D and C.
The index fingers each own two columns because they are the strongest and most mobile: left index takes R, F, V, T, G and B; right index takes Y, H, N, U, J and M.
The right middle owns I, K and comma. The right ring owns O, L and full stop. The right little finger owns P, the semicolon, the slash, and everything to the right of them.
Shift is pressed with the little finger of the hand that is NOT typing the letter. Typing a capital P means right little finger on P, left little finger on shift.
Say the finger name to yourself as you type each group. Accuracy only - speed is irrelevant here.
